Tis the season for warm and cozy mornings with your loved ones. Nothing makes it feel as festive as waking up and indulging in a magical breakfast with the family. Freshly brewed coffee and freshly made dessert, a unforgettable sweet smell- make a gift that keeps on giving.

For 4 people

  • 4 slices from a loaf of bread
  • 1 pear Decana or Kaiser
  • 1 tablespoon of brown cane sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar
  • 50 gr of hazelnuts
  • 30 grams of butter
  • 1 glass of skim milk
  • 1 egg
  • Half a glass of sweet liqueur
  • 125 g of fresh spreadable cheese
  • 1 organic lemon
  • Cinnamon, optional

Cut the pear into thin slices, melt a teaspoon of butter in a cooking pan (low heat) and arrange the slices of pear without overlapping.

When they have begun to take color add brown sugar and a sweet liqueur- slowly letting it evaporate, in a few minutes the pears will be perfectly caramelized .
Whip the fresh cheese with powdered sugar, using an electric mixer, until it becomes frothy.

Coarsely chop hazelnuts with a knife.

Mix milk with a whole egg in a large bowl and if you’d like add a pinch of cinnamon, dip the slices of bread and leave them to soak well in the mixture.
Melt the remaining butter in a large cooking pan (medium heat), arrange the slices of bread until they become golden.

Serve with caramelized pears to the side, a generous spoonful of cheese- grate a little lemon zest on top, and chopped hazelnuts.
