A Linea Mini machine, an espresso, a whole lot of cyclists and a need for fixed-gear speed. This is the recipe devised by La Marzocco, to reinforce its ties to the world of cycling through its partnership with Sartoria Ciclistica, during the Red Hook Criterium race in Milan, held the first weekend of October. A Linea Mini at the Sartoria Ciclistica Track House
In an old carpentry studio dating from the 1960s, in Milan’s Bovisa neighbourhood and just a few metres from the Red Hook Criterium racing circuit, the world of fixed-gear has been given a true home. Sartoria Ciclistica, one of Italy’s most famous Bike Cafés, hosted La Marzocco at its Track House, offering espressos and cappuccinos to all of the event attendees.

For the occasion, the “Ghisallo Power” blend was recreated. Present at the event were a mix of brands that share a passion for cycling, coffee, and this very particular discipline. They thus had a chance to introduce their latest products to the Italian market in the presence of national media and numerous cyclists from all over the world.

With a different event every hour, chances were to meet athletes of international fame, like ex-professor Alessandro Vanotti, or street artist Mr. Di Maggio – known for his cycling-centered works – executed a live painting during the event.

All this over a good coffee, something that is always appreciated by riders, whatever culture they are from, creating a perfect pairing for one of the fixed-gear world’s most eagerly-anticipated events!
