What an amazing weekend, La Marzocco Germany pulled out all of the stops. We caught the infamous KB90 Alfa Romeo parked right outside World of Coffee, visitors took snaps and walked into the main entrance hall to find La Marzocco staff giving demos and serving espresso shots. Highlighting the KB90 with Straight-In portafilter and it’s predecessors the FB70 and FB80.
Friday evening we celebrated the brand-new showroom, located in Reuterstraße 50, Neukölln- the new space in Berlin will be the epicenter for all things La Marzocco Germany. Then later that night, along with friends- Nuova Ricambi, Patron Tequila, Taittinger & Sander-Tec we took to the skies with a sunset Rooftop Party at Amano Grand Central.
Let us take a moment to congratulate all the amazing winners of the weekend championships. This year, Manuela Fensore won the World Latte Art Championship, the Milanese Barista that co-owns at Barlady Cafè Academy in Milan, Italy. Long-time friend Dan Fellows (Head of Wholesale at Origin Coffee in the UK) won the Good Spirits Championship, the second year in a row! Winner of World Cezve/ Ibrik was Sergey Blinnikov of Cezve Coffee in Moscow, Russia. Daniel Horbat from Ireland was the World Cup Tasters Champion. Outside of the WOC grounds, Five Elephant hosted the 2019 German Aeropress Championship Saturday, with Niklas Sharon winning and scoring a chance to be the next World Aeropress Champion with a ticket to the finale!
