Accademia del Caffè Espresso is a cultural destination dedicated to the art and science of quality coffee.

Housed in what was the original La Marzocco factory, Accademia is an extraordinary space which has been transformed into a living museum showcasing the 100-year legacy of La Marzocco through company archives and interactive exhibits. The guided tour takes guests on a journey through time and taste: savor the feeling of a meticulously recreated mid-century café, immerse yourself in the captivating stories of Italian emigration to Brazil in a thought-provoking temporary exhibition, learn more about the history of La Marzocco coffee machines and how their innovation and technology helped to bring espresso coffee around the world, trace coffee’s origins by connecting with growers and exploring the lush indoor coffee plantation, and witness master artisans at Officine Fratelli Bambi as they handcraft bespoke coffee machines using time-honored metalworking techniques.

The Accademia Coffee team promotes a deeper appreciation of coffee’s rich heritage and craftsmanship through immersive tastings and expert-led courses.

PUBLIC TRANSIT
The Accademia can be reached by public transit taking bus number 25 A from the Florence center at Piazza San Marco – Via La Pira stop.
The bus departs from via La Pira at 9:28am most weekdays and arrives in front of the Accademia (stop “I Cipressini” – make sure to tell the driver you need to get off at this stop) at 9:50am.
