While the Amsterdam Coffee Festival won’t take place this weekend for obvious reasons, we would like to acknowledge the incredible work our longtime friends and partners – Henk & Arnold from ESW and Michel & Sabine from Alleborgh – have done together with their teams to ensure everything was in place to serve the community and deliver on the promise of making quality coffee culture available to both the trade and wider audience. Here below is the portrait photo we retrieved from their visit to our former Florentine facility last year 🙂
We won’t be giving a visual preview of the exciting content our Dutch family was going to offer – from connected / custom Home machines and the latest Swift Mini grinder display to the showcase of Kb90, Linea PB and Modbar – but we can’t help ourselves from expressing how they’ve contributed to the development of the coffee movement and businesses in The Netherlands, also bringing in our philosophy, vision and products to the local cafĂ©s, baristas and roasteries. In fact, alongside the enjoyment of the well-known Roaster Village and national Latte Art Championships event, we look forward to seeing the following coffee (shop) brands and their master baristas showoff their craft and performance at the the next True Artisan CafĂ© session:
STOOKER ROASTING COMPANY Stooker Specialty Coffee roasts specialty coffee in Amsterdam and educates Baristas in the Stooker Specialty Academy. Beyond Amsterdam Stooker sell coffee to independent cafés and customers across the Netherlands and to the UK, Poland and France.
MOTO COFFEE Moto Coffee is the new coffee adventure of Tewis Simons, a super experienced coffee roaster. “If you start over, you can go back to basics. And that’s exactly what Moto stands for; the finest organic coffees, roasted with care.” Discover the coffees of this ‘new’ specialty coffee roastery at the ACF.
THE VILLAGE COFFEE & MUSIC The Village Coffee & Music has been a favourite in Utrecht for almost twenty years. The roastery combines friendly atmosphere, live music and delicious coffee, and now has two cafés.
MÖRK CHOCOLATE Who doesn’t love a steaming cup of hot choco? Mörk Chocolate are makers of specialty, ethically sourced hot chocolate in Melbourne. Taste their pure handcrafted blends at the ACF yourself.
LOT SIXTY ONE COFFEE ROASTERS Lot61 are a renowned Dutch-Australian roasting company based in Amsterdam. Their approach to roasting is one of continual improvement, using trial and error to unlock the full roast potential of the beans that they are lucky enough to roast. “It’s always been about finding a better way.” Furthermore Lot61 strive to do this by roasting on their trusted Probat L25 roaster. Photo credit: Sprudge
