This year, more than ever, one could breathe the excitement of the Latvian Barista Championship… The event kicked-off in Riga Plaza, the capital’s hype contemporary mall, from 10th to 12th of February and gathered an enthusiastic audience from the barista and roaster community as well as the larger coffee public. La Marzocco’s Product Improvement Manager, Enrico Wurm, a familiar face in the international coffee events scenario, was yet again invited as a judge together with the crew from King Coffee Service, our friends and one of the local importers for the baltic region… Eventually, Raimonds Zadvornovs – who has been competing in national events & championing quality coffee for some years – was announced the 2017 Latvian Barista Champion!
