La Marzocco’s Linea Mini has been awarded Best New Product and People’s Choice Award in the category of coffee or tea equipment for the consumer at the 27th annual SCAA Exhibition, which took place in Seattle this past weekend.
The Best New Product and People’s Choice Awards recognize products for their quality and the value they add to the specialty coffee and tea industry. La Marzocco came first in a lineup of innovative competitors including Behmor, Breville, Bonavita, SolaBev, Beanscorp, Espro, Forlife and OXO.
In the company of leaders in the industry, La Marzocco’s Guido Bernardinelli, Managing Director, Scott Callender, Director La Marzocco Home, and Riccardo Gatti, Project Leader, gratefully accepted the awards on behalf of La Marzocco’s staff, branches, and network of distributors and partners throughout the globe.
“I am extremely happy for the recognition granted to the Linea Mini,” says Roberto Bianchi, R&D Director at La Marzocco. “Our work is to think of, design and then build products that provide satisfaction and “joy” to those who use them. We consider our products like our own child, especially those of us who are designing it, then following its development from one stage to the next, (from an idea, to prototyping, to testing, to production), so to earn recognition through these awards from both coffee specialists and end users, whether professionals or not, provides real satisfaction and delight. My gratitude is for all those colleagues who have made this possible and thank you very much to the SCAA organizers.”
The Linea Mini is Italian design at its best and is born from the iconic commercial espresso machine: the Linea Classic. It comes equipped with a dual boiler system and integrated brew group which allow for consistent brew temperature and steam power. The machine is optimized for the home in light of its simplicity, a built-in water reservoir and standard appliance power needs allowing the user to plug and play.
