The long summer evenings are here. On June 12 the La Marzocco staff in Scarperia, Italy left work an hour early. Crossing over to the La Marzocco Park adjacent to the factory to celebrate the summer and staff that work in hand-making our espresso machines every day. The La Marzocco BBQ was an event to remember, a small intimate affair with staff and their families.

With the beginning of the evening, a big surprise was in store for the kids attending the BBQ. Two ponies! Caramella and Peperlizia also took breaks grazing the lawn. The “big kids” played Bowls ( Bocce in Italian) and foosball.

 

An occasion like this is truly special for the people of La Marzocco. Taking a moment to celebrate our hard work and show our families how special La Marzocco is. We continued the evening with a light aperitif, dinner, and dancing. The dinner had different stations of local “street food” and BBQ; including Lampredotto sandwiches, pizza, grilled veggies, ribs, and of course the Florentine steak. Large round tables sat our staff, with laughter and music filling up the dusk air.
