After inaugurating the Shanghai office in 2017, we have decided to double our presence in China. Also thanks to the positive development the business has recorded in this market.
After the challenging interlude of the pandemic, which led to an extended lockdown, China has become the first market for La Marzocco’s international business, with over 7,000 machines sold throughout the past years.
The opening of the branch in Guangzhou follows the flow of a series of novelties and events in our commitment to the industry and coffee community locally: last May, we took part in the first Chinese edition of SIGEP, one of the most important international shows in the field of coffee, pastry and ice cream. On the following month, on the occasion of Hotelex Shanghai (the famous expo in Asia dedicated to the Horeca sector), we presented the entire range of “handmade-in-Florence” coffee equipment and unveiled the Officine Fratelli Bambi project and bespoke creations for the first time in this area of the world.
“China represents for us one of the most important markets together with the United States, where our company has succeeded year after year in establishing itself as a true point of reference for Made in Italy and where we have become a cult brand in the high-end cafè and specialty coffee sector,” said Guido Bernardinelli, CEO
“The Chinese market today occupies the first place in the number of machines sold. We are sure the second branch in Guangzhou will play a crucial role in further strengthening our business development across Asian markets”.
