Training Scale Location

The La Marzocco Connected Scale needs to be trained to recognize whether it is measuring for grinding or brewing. Training ensures accurate dosing for Brew-by-Weight and Grind-by-Weight and allows seamless switching between the two.

To train the La Marzocco Connected Scale for use with Brew-by-Weight:

  1. Ensure your La Marzocco Connected Scale is paired and on.
  2. Place the scale under the portafilter or cup.
  3. Open the La Marzocco App, and navigate to your connected Linea Mini
  4. Navigate to “Brew-by-Weight” and select the Scale
  5. Tap Train the Scale and wait for confirmation.

Retraining the location may be necessary from time-to-time, especially if you move your equipment or if the scale is not recognized and does not connect after powering on.

To train the La Marzocco Connected Scale for use with Grind-by-Weight:

  1. Ensure your La Marzocco Connected Scale is paired and on.
  2. Place the scale on the Pico Tray under the Grind Adjustment Collar.
  3. Open the La Marzocco App, and navigate to your connected Pico
  4. Navigate to “Grind-by-Weight” and select the Scale
  5. Tap Train the Scale and wait for confirmation.
