This year, Glasgow Coffee Festival is shaking things up as it takes the event format to the streets of Glasgow for the very first time.
The sixth edition of the festival is a ten-day citywide celebration of the city’s baristas, roasters and coffee shop owners, starting on the 16th October 2020. Over 50 different coffee houses and cafes from across Glasgow are coming together to take part in the festival, which will see ticket holders gaining access to a range of exclusive discounts, offers and goodies from their favourite coffee venues whilst celebrating Glasgow’s amazing café culture.
The aim of the festival is to showcase the true meaning of supporting your local businesses, and encourage coffee drinkers to swap their visit to a big chain for a coffee served in a local coffee shop, which serves coffee roasted by a local roaster, and directly supports the local economy. Glasgow Coffee Festival are encouraging visitors to visit not only their local coffee shops during the festival, but to discover the uniqueness of independent businesses and all the knowledge, passion and technical coffee skills on offer across the city.
There’s a range of amazing local businesses involved, from coffee houses and roasteries to music venues and record cafes. This also includes many La Marzocco partners such as:
- Dear Green
- Space Coffee House
- Primal Roast
- Kaf
- Meadow Road
- Café Dandelion
- Riverhill
- Spitfire Espresso
- Roast
- Social Bite
- Honey and Salt
The 10 day long event will be supported with online content, features and live tastings, all of which will showcase Scotland’s speciality coffee scene. You can even join us and Lisa Lawson, event founder and Dear Green founder, on an Instagram Live on the 16th October at 10.30am GMT where we will be discussing everything about this years re-edit on the festival!
