Requirements for compatibility
The Brew-by-Weight utilizes La Marzocco-specific firmware to connect to your Linea Mini. Standard Acaia scales cannot be updated to achieve Brew-by-Weight functionality.

If you have already updated your Linea Mini to the latest firmware version (beginning with “gatewayFwVersion”) your machine is compatible with brew-by-weight—all you will need is the brew-by-weight.
If your serial number is greater than LM020000, but your firmware version is not up to date, (e.g., “v1.0rc3”) you’ll require both the Linea Mini Scale and a Gateway. This installation may require a technician.
If your Linea Mini serial number is less than LM020000, and you have not replaced your board to an IoT board, you’ll need the Linea Mini Scale as well as a full IoT kit.
